Car veers into river after road crash in Aberdeen sparking emergency response

A car has veered into a Scots river following a single vehicle road crash.

The incident occurred on Donbank Terrace in the Tillydrone area of Aberdeen at around 7.25pm on Friday, March 5.

The vehicle veered into the River Don following the collision but Police Scotland confirmed no injuries were reported.

Images from the scene show police officers, fire service and ambulance service all in attendance, close to the old footbridge.

One photo shows the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) pull what appears to be water rescue equipment out of their van..

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a single vehicle road crash on Donbank Terrace, Aberdeen at around 7.25pm on Friday, March 5.

"A car left the road and veered into the River Don. There are no reports of any injuries."
