A car has smashed into a tree in Yate, with police closing the road for more than an hour. The car collided with the tree on Peg Hill in the South Gloucestershire town at around 5.18pm today (June 10).
The road remained closed in both directions as of the time of writing (8.30pm), but traffic was coping well according to road monitoring site Inrix. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
A police spokesperson confirmed the road closure and said: "It was a single vehicle collision, a car collided with a tree."
