Police were called after a car crashed into a set of traffic lights on Liverpool Waterfront.
An ambulance also attended the scene on The Strand, close to the Hilton Hotel at around 9.40pm this evening, April 16. A police spokesman said the incident had resulted in "minor damage".
The driver, who was not injured, remained at the scene to talk with police officers.
One witness said that she saw police cars at the scene and the damaged car with its airbags released after it had crashed. She said the traffic lights that had been crashed into were on the floor after the accident.

No road closures were put in place as a result of the crash this evening.
