A car has ploughed through the front of a pharmacy on a Scots road..
Emergency services raced to the premises on Eaglesham Road in Clarkston, near Glasgow, after the alarm was raised at around 4.25pm on Monday, August 22. The blue vehicle came off the road and careered through the Well Pharmacy on the street.
Images shared with the Record showed police and fire crews at the scene. Four firefighters can be seen in attendance as they stand beside the car, which had smashed through the front window of the premises.
The front door can be seen to have been completely bent by the impact. In another picture passers-by can be seen watching on as crews assist in the emergency operation.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.25pm on Monday, 22 August, police were called to a report of a road crash on Eaglesham Road, Clarkston where a car had struck a building.
"Officers attended and carried out enquiries. No one was taken to hospital and recovery of the car was being arranged by the driver."
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service previously said: "We are in attendance at Eaglesham Road, Clarkston following reports of a road traffic collision. We received a call at 4.25pm.
"This is a police matter we have no more information to provide at this stage."
