West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a double-decker bus and car crash left a man with serious injuries. At 2.06pm on Thursday, December 15, emergency services were called to the crash involving a blue Ford EcoSport SUV and a stationary double-decker bus on the A658 Pool Bank New Road, close to the junction with old Lane in Leeds.
The unoccupied bus was parked at a bus stop at the time of the crash and the car was heading southbound away from the direction of the Dyneley Arms crossroads. A 69-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Ford, received serious injuries and remains in hospital. The driver, a 51-year-old man, received minor injuries.
The crash caused extensive damage to both vehicles and a road closure was put in place until 10.45pm so the scene could be examined and cleared.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it, particularly anyone with relevant dashcam footage.
