Dublin Airport has warned passengers to plan ahead as due to skyrocketing demand airport parking is now "sold out".
Thousands of holidaymakers will be jetting off over the coming days for the summer holidays as we enter the second week of July. Many people opt to drive to the airport as there are no trams or trains on that route, but Dublin Airport has given an update on the airport parking situation.
Dublin Airport tweeted: "All of our car parks are sold out over the coming days. Those without a booking should plan to travel to the airport via an alternate method such as by bus, taxi or drop-off by a friend or relative."
But holidaymakers shouldn't fret, as there are still plenty of other nearby car parks and alternative travel methods that you can take. Here's our roundup of alternative carparks reasonably close to Dublin Airport:

Alternative travel via bus, taxi, cycling and more
Dublin Bus
Both the 16 and 41 Dublin Bus routes go to and from Dublin Airport.
The number 16 bus departs from Ballinteer (Kingston) to Dublin Airport, while the 41 departs Lower Abbey Street (in front of the Irish Life building) to Dublin Airport's Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Dublin Bus operates from the Dublin Airport Bus Park in Zone 15.

Go-Ahead Ireland
Go-Ahead Ireland is operating a full schedule on their services to and from Dublin Airport.
Go-Ahead Ireland offers the 102 route to Sutton Station which serves Swords, Malahide, Portmarnock and Sutton. The 33A bus also services Balbriggan, Skerries, Rush, Lusk and Swords to Dublin Airport and back.
Aircoach
Aircoach's route 700, 702 and 703 buses depart from just outside Terminal 1, zone 2, and Terminal 2, zone 20.
The 700 goes to and from Dublin Airport to the city centre and Leopardstown. The 702 goes to and from Dublin Airport to Greystones in Co Wicklow, and the 703 route goes to and from Dublin Airport to Killiney.
Dublin Express
Dublin Express operates from Zone 1 at Terminal 1 and Zone 21 at Terminal 2 and travels directly into Dublin via the Port Tunnel. It also has a number of routes to and from Dublin Airport which includes:
- Route 782 Dublin Airport to Custom Quay via Heuston Station
- Route 782 Dublin City to Dublin Airport
- Route 784 from Dublin Airport to Charlotte's Way
Taxi
There are always plenty of taxis to and from Dublin Airport. Passengers arriving by taxi will be dropped off on the forecourt directly outside either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.
Passengers should follow taxi signage from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to the taxi ranks outside both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. A taxi dispatcher is available at both taxi ranks if you require any further information or assistance. For more information on taxis click here
Dublin Airport cycle routes and walking
Dublin Airport has excellent existing cycle lanes and infrastructure. The map below shows the airport's cycling routes.
There's also a public cycle parking area in the Multi Storey Car Park Area A. Cyclists are advised to enter from the T1 car park atrium area, where the Wrights Food Fayre is.
For those who might prefer to walk, Dublin Airport has excellent facilities in place with paths and crossing signals, to allow people take a stroll to the terminals when visiting Dublin Airport.
