Car parks and parking costs for Splendour Festival 2022 at Wollaton Park in Nottingham

Parking details and costs for Splendour Festival have been announced so that visitors can start preparing for the two-day event. For the first time in the history of the event, the festival will this year take place over two days - on Saturday, July 23, and Sunday, July 24.

Nottingham's biggest summer party will have three stages this year including the Main, Confetti and Comedy Stage. There will be performances from the likes of Richard Ashcroft, Happy Mondays, Human League and also Annemarie.

While public transport remains the easiest way to get to Wollaton Park for the show, there are options for those who would like to drive. The site, at Wollaton Park, three miles to the west of the city centre, can be found by following the brown signs from the A52 or the A6514. From the M1 take junction 25 and follow any signs.

Parking locations have been announced for both days with the entrance just off Limetree Avenue off Middleton Boulevard (Ring Road). The car park will open at 11 am and then close at midnight.

Parking is set to cost a bit more than it has in previous years as a day pass has risen to £10. The last Splendour festival was held in 2019 when parking was just £7 for the full day.

For those who need blue badge parking, it is available in the gravel car park at the top of the main driveway which can be accessed from the main entrance off Wollaton Road. All main routes will be clearly signposted and the postcode is NG8 1BT.

Anyone wishing to travel with a taxi or Uber will note that there are drop-offs available. Box office will open on-site from 10am.

The fastest way to get onto the festival site is through the main pedestrian entry gate at the Wollaton Road entrance. Festival fans can also enter through Limetree Avenue which is off Middleton Boulevard. The Beeston Lodge Entrance off Derby Road is also available if visitors already have their tickets.

The site will open at 11am with the first acts on stage from 12.30pm Saturday and 11.30am on Sunday. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) will be providing a frequent bus service between the city centre and Wollaton park which is the easiest route to the festival. Festival attendees can use Pink 30 for the Wollaton Road entrance or Orange 35/6 for the Derby Road Entrance. The recommended city centre bus stop is on Milton Street by Victoria Centre.

The festival is set to finish between 10pm to 10.30pm with Pink 30 operating from inside the park at a dedicated event bus stop. It will drop festival goers directly to the city centre with a drop-off on Talbot street, South Sherwood and Victoria Centre. If you are travelling by train then it is within walking distance to the NCT bus stop at 15 minutes.
