Greater Manchester Police were able to stop a car in Salford yesterday that was involved in a 'high value theft' in Scotland. The Audi A4 was perused by Scottish officers earlier on in the day (Wednesday, March 9) but was lost in Lanarkshire.
But the car was then picked up by a police helicopter on the M61 and was perused into Salford. The vehicle was then abandoned on Moss Lane where all four people in the car were detained.

The driver will be charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, no insurance and driving with no licence. Police Scotland will be attending to interview the four people 'regarding the theft of a large quantity of high value mobile phones from Edinburgh'.
GMP Traffic said in a Tweet: "The Audi A4 was pursued in Scotland earlier today and lost in Lanarkshire. Picked up by RPU West patrols on the M61 it was pursued into Salford. Tracked by NPAS North West and abandoned Moss Lane where all 4 occupants were detained. Involved in high value theft in Scotland
"The driver is to be charged with dangerous driving failing to stop. No insurance and no driving licence. Police Scotland will be attending to interview regarding the theft of a large quantity of high value mobile phones from Edinburgh."
