Car hits wall then flips over near QMC

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for dash-cam footage following a car crash in Lenton. Officers were called to reports of an overturned car on the A52 Derby Road near the Adams Hill junction.

The car was severely damaged after hitting a wall before flipping multiple times. The incident took place at around 8:15pm on July 2 and no body was hurt.

A 29 year old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and drug driving. He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue to take place.

Police officers are calling for anyone with any information or dash-cam footage of the crash to come forward. Police Constable Josh Martin, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This collision took place close to Queen’s Medical Centre on a road that is usually very busy, so we’re reasonably confident that a number of people will have witnessed it take place.

“We’re still in the process of investigating this incident, so we’d ask that anyone who saw what happened or has dash-cam footage showing the car pictured at around the time of this collision gets in touch.

“Anyone with information can contact the police on 101, quoting incident 700 of 2 July 2022, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
