A car has flipped while a motorist was driving in icy conditions on a Midlothian country road on Monday morning.
The incident took place on Cousland Road in Dalkeith on January 16 at around 7.30 am as police, the fire service and ambulances raced to the scene.
The vehicle veered off the road into the grass bank at the side of the road before it flipped. The female driver was assessed by the Scottish Ambulance Service and it is not known what the extent of her injuries are.

The Scottish Fire Service advised that the road remains closed but it was later reopened.
Images from the scene show several emergency service vehicles on the ice white narrow road. One picture shows a police officer inspecting the damaged car on its side.
Drivers are urged to take extra care during adverse weather conditions especially when travelling on smaller country roads as they are less likely to be gritted.
The AA recommends drivers should be gentle on the throttle, avoiding any harsh acceleration which is likely to cause wheel spin and to pull away in second gear, easing your foot off the clutch gently to avoid wheel spin.
They also advise motorists should use a low gear and try to avoid braking. Leave as much room as you can to the car in front and to use your headlights in heavy snow. Daytime running lights won't be enough, and there’ll be no lighting at the back of your car.
The AA also warned that just because the conditions might have improved on main roads, country roads or bridges might still be hazardous due to less traffic or because they've not been gritted.
When you're driving in icy conditions or snow, you should always be more cautious for at least a few days after.
A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “Around 7.30 am on Monday, 16 January 2023, police received a report of a road crash involving one vehicle on Cousland Road, Dalkeith."

They added: "Emergency services attended and a woman was assessed by SAS and the vehicle was uplifted.”
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they attended a road traffic collision and advised that the road stayed closed.
