A motorist has been reported for careless driving after a car flipped onto its roof on a busy road in Edinburgh.
Emergency crews were called to the incident on Gordon Street, just off Easter Road, in Leith on April 10. Remarkably, nobody was injured during the smash.
Shocking images show the vehicle tipped upside down with all windows are smashed and the bodywork left completely crumpled. Debris from the vehicle has also been pictured scattered across the street as cops attend the scene.
Edinburgh Live reports the driver will be reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) for alleged careless driving.
Police Scotland posted a picture of the overturned car on social media yesterday evening.
The caption reads: "Edinburgh Road Police attended in Gordon Street after calls about a vehicle on its roof after colliding with another vehicle.
"Thankfully, no one injured and the road has since re-opened. Driver will be reported to COPFS for careless driving. #Fatal5 #NoAcceptable."
