Car flipped onto roof after driver swerved to avoid deer on Scots road

A car flipped onto its roof after a driver swerved to avoid deer on a busy Scots road.

Emergency services rushed to the incident on the A911 in Fife after receiving the alarm at 10.10pm on Tuesday, May 17.

The 47-year-old motorist had been driving near to Windygates when a pair of deer walked onto the road.

They managed to avoid the animals, but rolled their blue Peugeot 207 in the process and the motor ended up on its roof.

Medics attended and took the driver to nearby Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy to be checked over.

The stretch of road was shut down for a short while.

"The 47-year-old driver of a blue Peugeot 207 had swerved to avoid two deer that had strayed onto the road and the car ended up rolling onto its roof.

"Traffic flow was restricted for a short time while officers dealt with the incident but was fully reopened a short time later.

"The driver was conveyed by ambulance to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy to be checked over."
