A car has exploded outside a major hospital in Ayrshire injuring two people, police have confirmed.
Police and emergency services are currently dealing with the serious incident outside Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock, which happened around 2.30pm.
It's not known how serious the injuries are of the man and woman impacted but they are being treated in hospital.
Police say the cause of the incident does not appear to be suspicious, but investigations are ongoing.
A statement by Ayrshire Police Division said: "Police and emergency services are currently dealing with an incident outside Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock where a car exploded around 2.30pm.
"A man and a woman are currently being treated in hospital.
"Enquiries into the cause of the incident are ongoing however there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at this time."
