A car dealer sent explicit feces photos to customers and creditors in response to refund requests, threatening to close the dealership entirely.

A Christchurch dealership owned by Christopher Schwartz Johannes financed $15,000 to Johannes and Chizelle Cilliers for a hybrid Nissan Skyline from iSeeCars Limited, the New Zealand Herald reported.

The car was found defective and never delivered, leading the couple who were expecting it to request a refund.

Despite a tribunal ruling in their favor, Schwartz retained the funds, claiming IT issues, while also threatening to liquidate his business.

The Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal ruled the dealership's actions improper, citing Schwartz's refusal to refund the Cilliers' despite receiving reimbursement from his supplier, Autofleet Capital.

Schwartz's behavior escalated when he sent the couple graphic images of feces in an email intended to confirm payment.

"Please see attached paid in full. Have a fantastic great day, I split it in two payment parts," the email from Schwartz read.

The dealership has since entered receivership, with over $30,000 owed to creditors. Schwartz has surrendered his motor vehicle trading license and declared bankruptcy, but not before registering a new business under a similar name.

Schwartz claims the explicit images were a staff prank. Meanwhile, the Cilliers, still listed as co-owners of the unrepaired vehicle, remain uncertain about recovering their funds.
