A CAR crashed through the front of a shop in Gourock last night.
The shopkeeper remained tight-lipped about the incident as workers were seen starting repairs at the store.
IT would appear that a driver reversed their car into a Lifestyle Express in Gourock on Wednesday night.
One resident said "a car drove into the shop" but refused to say anymore about the incident.
Video footage and pictures show the immediate aftermath of the incident, with the car protruding from the front of the shop, partially sitting across the pavement.
Its hazard lights were flashing. A screenshot from the video is shown below.
The frontage of the shop was destroyed and this afternoon a bricklayer was seen rebuilding the wall.
The shop was closed to customers on Thursday.
Police Scotland has been contacted for further information.
