Prime Minister Boris Johnson's £1.3 million south London townhouse was hit by a car in the early hours of Monday, May 10. A black Vauxhall Astra was pictured having crashed into the tree at the four-bed home which the Prime Minister bought with his wife, Carrie Johnson, in 2019.
As reported by the MEN, neighbours described the incident at around 1am on Monday, May 10, as sounding like 'thunder'. Police said no offences were committed in the crash and the driver was treated for a minor injury.
The car, which was eventually towed away at 5pm, damaged hedges, a tree and knocked over a small ornamental pillar in the front garden. It also left debris across the driveway and on the road.

Neighbours reportedly said the residential street has long had a problem with drivers speeding along it, using it as a rat run. The Camberwell property is coming towards the end of a six-month long refurbishment and when builders tried to get into the property yesterday they had to use a saw to cut their way through the greenery.
Carrie was seen as recently as last month assessing the works on the property, while Boris has not been seen there for two years. The register of MPs’ interests states that the PM has a rental income of at least £10,000 a year.
Mr Johnson also owns a detached house with a tennis court and pool in Oxfordshire. A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "At 01:19hrs on Monday, 9 May police were called following reports of a road traffic collision. Officers attended and found a car that had struck the exterior of a property causing minor damage.
"The driver of the car sustained a minor injury and was assessed by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment. No offences were identified."
