Police locked down a busy Scots road after a car burst into flames this afternoon.
Mercy crews were alerted to the incident at Atholl Street in Perth on Tuesday, March 21, at around 12:50pm.
Footage shows police officers at the scene with small fire extinguishers attempting to put out the blaze as smoke billowed into the air. Four officers can be seen on the ground, with one stationery police car blocking off the street.
Another image shows three police cars and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) officers at the top of the street.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.51pm on Tuesday, 21 March to reports of a car on fire at the junction at Rose Terrace / Atholl Street, Perth.
"Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance where firefighters extinguished a fire within the engine compartment.
"There were no casualties and crews left the scene at 1.19pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a car on fire in the Atholl Street area of Perth around 12.45pm on Tuesday, 21 March.
“Officers attended to assist the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service who put out the fire.
“There are no reports of any injuries and following enquiries, no criminality has been established.”
