Captain Lee Rosbach reveals he 'was not invited back' for Below Deck Season 11

Below Deck favourite Captain Lee Rosbach has revealed he will not be starring in Season 11 of the hit Bravo show.

The 73-year-old captain of yachts have been a star of Below Deck during the previous 10 seasons where he takes guests to exotic locations in luxurious style.

Speculation has be rife about the future of Rosbach's position on the show after new captain Sandy Yawn filled in for him in Season 10 due to his ongoing "health issues".

There was even a special Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen which celebrated Captain Lee's 10 years on Below Deck.

That now appears to be a send-off for the veteran skipper after Rosbach has announced that he will not be returning for the upcoming series, with Captain Kerry Titheradge of Below Deck Adventure replacing him at the helm.

Speaking to the Sun Sentinel, Captain Lee said: "I did not quit. I did not retire. I was just not invited back. I guess I can see their point of view. They really couldn’t get a straight answer from anyone on how my health was."

According to Monsters & Critics, Rosbach is still under contract with the American TV network and he has not ruled out returning to the popular reality series in the future.

He added: "We came to an agreement, and I’m going to be doing some things for them in the next year.

"Then, Season 12? I imagine they are going to see what happens with Season 11, with somebody new trying to take over for me, see how they do. If it’s too expensive for them, we’ll see what happens. If the numbers take a tank, would I go back? Yeah."

Following his one-season hiatus, Captain Lee announced his return to the show in February and thanked fans for their kind messages.

He wrote on Twitter : "Ok, I'll be back next week, can't wait to get back, feels good, no, feels great. Same drill, gym in the am and to anyone I have missed, catch you on the flip side.

"Your outpouring of support is amazing, thank you so very much. I am touched. Thank you so very much."

Captain Lee was forced to leave the show in season 10 after "struggling with my mobility".

He had been forced to use crutches ahead of his exit due to severe nerve damage caused after undergoing back surgery.

Speaking about his departure on the show, he told his crew: "I'm gonna go back to the States, get this straightened out and as soon as I do, I'll be on the first plane back here and tell whoever's on board to get the f**k off my boat," he told his co-stars as he broke the news of his departure.
