Captain Lee announces his return to Below Deck - and it's sooner than you think

Captain Lee Rosbach has delighted fans by revealing he will be returning to Below Deck.

The 73-year-old was forced to bid an emotional goodbye to his crew in season 10 to deal with ongoing health issues and it was rumoured that he wouldn't return for season 11.

However, the reality star has now put the rumours to bed as he said he's very excited to get back onboard the boat.

Taking to Twitter, Captain Lee wrote: "Ok, I'll be back next week, can't wait to get back, feels good, no, feels great. Same drill, gym in the am and to anyone I have missed, catch you on the flip side."

He also thanked fans for their kind messages, adding: "Your outpouring of support is amazing, thank you so very much. I am touched. Thank you so very much."

Fans were overjoyed by the news, writing: "Yay! You made my day! We love our Captain. We will be counting the time till you are back!"

Another person commented: "So excited to see that you're feeling better, all healed up & coming back "on board!" Was so sad to see you leave, but your health comes first!

"Can only imagine how you've felt watching someone else conducting your yacht! You have been greatly missed! Welcome back Captain Lee!"

A third fan added: "So glad you are coming back," while another wrote: "So glad you are feeling better missed you and your special quotes."

Captain Lee announced his departure from the show in season 10.

"I'm gonna go back to the States, get this straightened out and as soon as I do, I'll be on the first plane back here and tell whoever's on board to get the f**k off my boat," he told his co-stars as he broke the news of his departure.

He added: "As you guys know I've been struggling with my mobility, and it's been hard and I've let you guys down and for that, I apologise.

"So I've made a decision to leave the boat."

Lee had been forced to use crutches ahead of his exit due to severe nerve damage caused after undergoing back surgery.

Captain Lee is a firm fan favourite on Below Deck and has starred on the Bravo show since its debut back in 2011.
