Capcom Showcase 2023 start time, where to watch, what to expect including Resident Evil 4 DLC

Capcom has announced its own showcase scheduled for next week, and is set to share new information about its upcoming releases and future titles.

Despite showing off three trailers at last month's PlayStation showcase and being set to make an appearance during Summer Game Fest 2023 stream, Capcom has announced that it's hosting its own showcase during the Summer Game Fest festivities via the Capcom website. The stream is set to show off news about new and upcoming titles in the Capcom library, as well as celebrating the company's 40th anniversary.

Capcom has had a banner year with Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4 launching to critical acclaim (with both currently tied for the number two and three spots on OpenCritic's top rated games of 2023 behind Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom) and it shows no signs of stopping with the upcoming Capcom Showcase.

Capcom Showcase 2023: start time

Capcom Showcase 2023 will take place on Monday, June 12 at 11pm BST / 6pm EDT / 3pm PDT. The Capcom Showcase will last for roughly 36 minutes according to Capcom.

Where to watch Capcom Showcase 2023

The event will be available to stream via Capcom's YouTube and Twitch channels:

The event will be available live, but if you can't make it (we don't blame you, it's on very late) it'll be available on demand after the event has finished.

Capcom Showcase 2023: what to expect

Capcom hasn't confirmed any specifics other than "news and updates" on its latest games but we can almost guarantee we'll see some more of Exoprimal – which releases in just over a month later.

As for speculation, it could be time for Capcom to lift the lid on the rumoured Resident Evil 4 DLC which is set to adapt the Separate Ways campaign from the PS2 release of the original Resident Evil 4 released in 2005. It's been a few months since the remake released, so it's a perfect time to re-ignite some interest in the title.

Even though Street Fighter 6 will be just over a week old when the Capcom Showcase takes place, we might get a glimpse at the first character in the Street Fighter 6 Year 1 Ultimate Pass which is set to be Street Fighter 5's Rashid – who is pegged to be released in 'summer 2023'. It may still be too soon to show off the DLC, and Capcom may leave Rashid's return until EVO in August, but if we see anything Street Fighter 6 related, I'd put my money on Rashid.

Capcom finally unveiled Dragons Dogma 2 footage at the PlayStation Showcase a few weeks ago, and it looks like a banger, so hopefully we'll get a bit more at this show. Outside of that trio, Pragmata has been MIA since it was unveiled around three years ago, the Ace Attorney series is long overdue a return, and maybe even a reveal of a new Monster Hunter. We'll know for sure on Monday night!
