Caolan Boyd Munce transfer battle as St Mirren face Morecambe fight to land free agent

Morecambe are ready to battle it out with St Mirren for Caolan Boyd-Munce with the 23-year-old who is currently training with Stephen Robinson’s side.

The midfielder is also wanted by the English League One side. Robinson’s former side, who are managed by Derek Adams, are also keen on the midfielder. Ex-Birmingham City player Boyd-Munce is a free agent, after he left English Championship side Middlesbrough before the close of the January window,

The former Northern Ireland under-21 cap has a number of options in England, but the fact he is training with the Scottish Premiership side appears to put them in a good position to get the deal over the line. It remains to be seen if St Mirren and Robinson can get a deal sorted and convince Boyd-Munce to put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season, and help with the top six push, or a return south of the border is more likely.
