Quinn Hughes and J.T. Miller provided key assists for Vancouver, with rookie goalie Arturs Silovs making an impressive 42 saves to help secure the victory. Mattias Ekholm, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard scored for the Oilers, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Canucks' strong performance.
Edmonton's power play was effective, going 2 for 4, while Vancouver capitalized on 2 of their 3 power-play opportunities. Ekholm opened the scoring for the Oilers on the power play, but the Canucks quickly responded with Lindholm's goal to tie the game.
Vancouver took the lead in the first period with goals from Boeser and Lindholm, extending their advantage to 3-1 by the end of the period. Despite Draisaitl's goal for the Oilers in the second period, the Canucks maintained their lead with another goal from Lindholm.
Edmonton made a late push, with Bouchard scoring in the final minutes of the game to bring the score to 4-3. The Oilers pulled their goalie in a last-ditch effort to tie the game, but Vancouver's defense held strong to secure the win.
Draisaitl continued his impressive playoff performance with points in all eight of Edmonton's playoff games this season. Bouchard also extended his point streak to six games with an assist on Draisaitl's goal.
The series now moves to Game 4, scheduled for Tuesday night in Edmonton, where the Oilers will look to even the series against the Canucks in what promises to be another intense matchup.
