Exiled Rangers star Todd Cantwell "could be a bit of a prick".
That's the viewpoint of Michael Stewart, who was asked how Cantwell's Rangers teammates will be feeling about the situation which has seen the attacking midfielder put in a transfer request to leave Ibrox and left him training with Rangers' B team until he finds a new club.
Stewart gave both sides of the coin on how the omission may be a detriment or a blessing to Philippe Clement's squad.
"I think it's depending on the actual character," the former Heart of Midlothian midfielder suggested.
"If he's I think regarded as a good lad and a strong member of the team, then personally I'd be thinking you just hope he can be persuaded and he's mind can change that he can hang about.

"If he's a bit of a prick and you don't really like him then maybe you are thinking to yourself I don't want him in the dressing room, I'd rather he left.
"But these are the things that are impossible to say what the atmosphere is like in the Rangers changing room with Todd Cantwell. Whether he's a good lad and somebody that's the heartbeat of the team or not, or whether he's somewhere where they think I'd be quite happy for him to leave. That's personally how I would look at it.
"Good guy you want him to hang about, he's an asset to the team. If he's not, you'd be disappointed that a bit of quality is leaving but there's a bigger picture there as well."
Many listeners tuning into BBC Sportsound picked up on Stewart's remarks, with one commenting: "Michael Stewart has just said if Cantwell is a prick you don't want him in the dressing room. The season if off and running."
While another wrote on X: "A rare case of Michael Stewart being right."
A third said: "Scottish football is unrivalled."

When Cantwell made his feelings known around his Rangers future during pre-season, Clement stated: "Todd Cantwell came to my office a while ago. We have a really good relationship and we talked a long time about that.
"He came a while ago to say he feels ready for another adventure, that he wants another challenge. I spoke long with him because I think Rangers is a really good club for him.
"I wanted to give him time also, so that’s why the last couple of weeks I didn’t speak about it. But he came back with the same request.
"So I’m going to be focused on the next couple of weeks on guys who are with their heads with Rangers."
