Car enthusiasts are in for a treat on Monday as rare supercars are set for a pit stop at a luxury Ayrshire hotel.
Rare Cannonball supercars will be on display at Glenapp Castle, near Ballantrae - whose 110 acres of estate grounds recently played host to the first epic cooking challenge in Gordon Ramsay’s latest BBC series of Future Food Stars.
The spectacular line-up of cars includes firm favourites such as SLR McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley, Audi R8, Corvette, Jaguar and much more.
Arriving to Glenapp Castle at 1pm on Monday, April 3, the cars will line up in front of the castle for a winning photograph before catching the ferry back to Ireland in the afternoon.
Spectators and families can get up close, meet the drivers and take pictures of the gleaming convoy.
Glenapp Castle was set to host the Cannonball Grand Highlands Tour last April where a brand-new Maserati MC20- the first sports supercar of the Trident brand which can clock up max speeds of just over 202mph- was set to attend.
Sadly, the event was cancelled last minute due to the Cannonball team missing their ferry connection.
But it’s hoped this year’s supercar fleet can make up for last year by kick starting the Easter holidays with some extra revs.
Cannonball Ireland is the most unique supercar fraternity in the world, and has raised over €1,477,052 for Irish charities.
Organisers are now gearing up for the first of five Irish and International road-trips in 2023.
Jill Chalmers, Managing Director of Glenapp Castle, said: “We are thrilled to be hosting Cannonball supercars at the hotel and to play our part in supporting such a worthy charitable cause.”
