Revenue has seized herbal cannabis with a value of €610,000 from luggage at Dublin Airport.
The discovery was made yesterday evening when Revenue officers stopped and searched a passenger who had flown over from Frankfurt, Germany. They found 30.5 kgs of herbal cannabis concealed in the luggage.
A man, aged in his 30s, was subsequently arrested. He was taken to a Dublin Garda station where he is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
