Police returned to the area on Sunday afternoon to dismantle and destroy a cannabis farm with around 100 plants on the quiet residential street near Chillingham Road in Heaton.

The front door was seen to be removed from the property and officers in overalls were seen entering and leaving the property several times carrying bags of evidence and disposing of them into a large skip.
