Did somebody sale Legosale?
Yes, it's back.
A tonne of loose Lego will be for sale, with proceeds going to one of Canberra's favourite charities, Roundabout Canberra.
The sale will be on Saturday, September 21 at the Albert Hall.
And it's kind of the end of one era, the start of the next.
THE GREEN SHED'S LAST LEGO IS THE SALE
After years of this event being the Green Shed's sale, its owners Sandy and Charlie Bigg-Wither have passed the baton on to Roundabout Canberra after an exceptional partnership formed, running two successful sales together in 2022 and 2023.
Roundabout Canberra is excited to be able to keep the sale alive for another year.
The Green Shed owners generously donated any Lego they had collected before they closed the doors of their businesses on Mugga Lane and Mitchell earlier this year.
Roundabout Canberra "hopes to make this event just as successful as previous years".
A "LEGO WONDERLAND AWAITS"
Roundabout Canberra volunteers are working hard sifting through a tonne of Lego, ensuring every piece finds its perfect place.
More than 200 new and used Lego sets will also be for sale on the day.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Loose Lego pieces will be available for purchase at $30 per kilogram and Duplo available for $20 per kilogram.
Discounts will apply to pre-bundled bags.
The day will be a fun family day out.
There will be market stalls, build-you-own minifigure area, burgers from All About Burgers, coffee from Cafe Loko, lemonade from the Shah Bros and more.
WHEN'S IT ON?
The Giant Charity Lego Sale is on Saturday, September 21 at the Albert Hall, Canberra, from 1pm to 5pm.
