With the FCO still advising against all but essential international travel, many Brits will be opting for a staycation this summer.
The government is gradually easing the UK's lockdown restrictions, and day trips to outdoor locations are now allowed.
Holiday accommodation - including caravan parks and campsites - will be allowed to open in early July, by which time the government will have hopefully lifted its ban on overnight stays.
After months spent stuck indoors, many will jump at the opportunity to spend some time in the great outdoors.
Here's the latest information on when you'll be able to go camping, and what rules you'll need to follow to stay safe:
Can you go camping in the UK?
Under the UK's current coronavirus lockdown restrictions, you cannot stay overnight anywhere other than your own home.
This means that you can't stay at a campsite, visit a caravan park, or go wild camping.
In England campsites and caravan parks will be opening on 4 July at the earliest.
In Northern Ireland, they'll open on 26 June.
What will the social distancing rules be?
When campsites and caravan parks are allowed to reopen, there will be strict social distancing in place to ensure guests are safe.
Capacity will be reduced to ensure that groups can pitch their tents at a safe distance from others, and contactless check-in may also be offered.
Some campsites will be asking guests to wear masks in indoor areas, such as washblocks - but you should check before travelling whether this is the case at your destination.
You may also be asked to book a slot to use the showers.
Certain facilities, such as on-site cafes and shops, may be closed or operating differently to normal.
When can you go wild camping?
There is currently no indication when the government will allow wild camping, and it may not happen until the restriction on overnight stays is lifted.
When will caravan parks open?
Caravan parks will also be allowed to open on 4 July at the earliest.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club has released a list of its campsites that will be reopening on 4 July, while Park Holidays is also taking bookings from that date.
Cool Camping is offering a 'coronavirus booking guarantee' that allows customers to move their booking date within 18 months if they cannot travel.
