Last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Pittsburgh Steelers passing offense was exposed without wide receiver George Pickens in the lineup. The threat of Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin isn’t really a threat at all and Philadelphia was able to focus on shutting down the run and harassing quarterback Russell Wilson.
They gave the Ravens the blueprint for how to attack the Steelers without Pickens in the lineup. With a short week to make adjustments, you have to wonder how much Pittsburgh could scheme things up to account for the problems of a week ago.
Minus Pickens and potentially shorthanded on defense is a recipe for disaster this week. The Steelers have had good luck against the Ravens in recent history but Baltimore is playing exceptional football right now and come into the game healthier.
