Can the Chicago Bulls stay competitive?

For the third season in a row, the Chicago Bulls‘ front office has decided to stand pat, even with much trade interest for the likes of Alex Caruso and Andre Drummond. The idea, at least publicly, is to lean into continuity and internal growth as players like Coby White and Patrick Williams develop while Zach LaVine and (hopefully) Lonzo Ball get healthy.

On the court, the results have been mixed as always, with the team playing down to bad teams too often and paying the price, with few victories over supposedly superior opponents to point to. How long will the fans put up with this groundhog day-like reality for the Bulls before the reputation of a storied franchise starts to get comfortable living in the past?

The host of the “Let’s Talk Bulls” podcast took some time to look at the situation from the framework of a recent overtime loss to the Orlando Magic.
