Can the Boston Celtics hope to compete in a stacked East this season without Robert Williams III at its start?

Can the Boston Celtics hope to compete in a stacked Eastern Conference this season without the services of starting center Robert Williams III until close to the end of the 2022 calendar year?

With news settling in that Timelord will miss as much as the next 12 weeks as he recovers fully from an arthroscopic cleanup procedure, it is becoming clear that the Celtics will need to lean even harder on their already-thin frontcourt rotation than they had hoped to in the first place. With so much talent now in the NBA’s East, will Boston be as competitive of a squad as they had hoped?

The hosts of ESPN’s “NBA Today” show recently debated this important topic, and whether the likes of Al Horford, Grant Williams, Luke Kornet, and the deep rotation of the team’s big man will be enough to win at a high rate in 2022-23.
