'Can't beat Forest' claim made as Everton frustration clear after City Ground draw

Everton supporters have delivered their verdict following the 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Forest fell behind twice following goals from Demarai Gray and Abdoulaye Doucoure, while Brennan Johnson responded with a brace in either half. Steve Cooper's side failed to extend their lead to seven points clear of the relegation zone.

The result sees Everton remain in the bottom three in the Premier League, with just five wins to their name. Fans were left frustrated after the draw on the road, and face a tricky run of fixtures against Brentford, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester United and Fulham in the coming weeks.

Below is how some of the Toffees fans responded on social media...

Harvey: "It feels like a loss."

KieranMahon: "2 points dropped."

Everton Extra: "Points on the road and wins at home will keep us up, onto Brentford."

Cameron Ashworth: "Should have made a couple of changes earlier for me. Feels like a loss but will take a point on the road."

Iowa Toffees: "A point is better than no points right now. Plenty of football to play. We can stay up."

Philip Hughes: "We’ll take the point. Commitment and passion was first class. Unfortunately though, at this point of the season, draws might not be enough."

Tom George: "A point is better than none, but they were there for the taking. Got to hang on in our situation, a win would have been massive."

Jaymanmoriarty: "I’m afraid we’re going down if we can’t hold on to beat Forest."

Potter Motter: "And that’s the difference between us and every single club in the league. Forest bringing on three players who offered something and were a serious threat, sitting on our bench was Tom Davies and Mason Holgate. We are absolutely brutal."

Jake: "Two points dropped today. On the manager that. Woeful substitutions and starting Keane has my head spinning."

Arc: "This was a positive result for them, not us."

IB: "FRUSTRATING."

Mark Taylforth: "A point on the road at Forest is not enough."

Jay Kennedy: "Mistake after mistake. Everton being Everton. Did Navas make a save in the 2nd half?"
