Can Rory McIlroy Land More Dubai Desert Classic Prize Money?

The new golf season is starting to hot-up as this week the DP World Tour heads to the UAE for the Dubai Desert Classic. Some big names will be teeing-up too, including world number three Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm – so we look at how much the Dubai Desert Classic prize money for 2025 is and just how much the winner can expect to walk into the clubhouse with.

Dubai Desert Classic Prize Money 2025: How Much Will The Winner Get?

This week’s Dubai Desert Classic prize money will see some of the best players battling it out for a $9m purse.

Rory McIlroy, who has won the last two renewals, is the one the layers fear most as the Northern Irish big hitter is the market leader pre- tournament with the best golf betting sites in the UK.

Jon Rahm is next best in the market and looking for his first win in this event.

But we have seen six past Spanish winners with the most recent Sergio Garcia in 2017.

Tyrrell Hatton and Tommy Fleetwood are next best in the market before a ball has been hit.

Dubai Desert Classic Prize Money Has Stayed The Same For Last Three Years

McIlroy will be looking to bag another $1,530.000 first prize – which is what the winner will walk away with.

The Dubai Desert Classic prize money for second is also very attractive at £990,000, with the third getting just over half a million at $567,000.

You can see the full golf prize money breakdown right down to the 70th player – who will still bank $17,100.

This year’s Dubai Desert Classic prize money 2025 is also the same as the last two years – with the latest increase coming after the 2022 event when the winner that year Viktor Hovland won £1,333,330.
