Can Michael Beale get Alfredo Morelos back to his best?
Andrew Newport: The early signs are encouraging. He looks leaner and keener than at any point since his return from injury but then again he has a contract to earn, whether it be at Ibrox or elsewhere. Time will tell how committed he is to Ibrox.
Fraser Wilson: He spoke about getting Morelos smiling again but the player looked as angry as ever on Thursday. Still, he popped up with the all-important goal and put in a shift. Positive signs but a long way to go.
Michael Gannon: It will be up to Morelos more than what the manager does. The striker has all the tools but he needs to get fit and firing, either to win the move he thinks he deserves or proves he’s got a long term future at the club.
What is an acceptable price for Josip Juranovic?
Andrew Newport: The Celtic defender has had a fabulous World Cup and Celtic will look to start the bidding at £15m and go from there.
Fraser Wilson: In the current market I can’t see Celtic accepting less than £15m. That figure would represent a very tidy piece of trading by the Hoops on a player they spent £2.5m on just 16 months ago.
Michael Gannon: If Celtic can bank £15m it will be good business but if you look at the £16m for Nathan Patterson and £22m for Calvin Bassey, then perhaps Celts should hold fire for north of 20.
Can Hearts still finish in third spot?
Andrew Newport: I expect so. For all this disruption that injuries and their heavy workload caused them in the first half of the season, they’re still only four points off Aberdeen. With a fully fit squad the Jambos will fancy their chances.
Fraser Wilson: Yes. They have the strongest and most balanced squad outside the Old Firm and while Aberdeen will be in the mix too I reckon it could come down to who adds one or two gems in January.
Michael Gannon: They will be right in the mix if they can get some injured stars back and sort out some of the daft defending. Aberdeen will be in the fight as well and it’ll be a cracking battle.
Who will win the World Cup?
Andrew Newport: A Messi masterclass that will see the wee man once and for all crowned the greatest of all time. Argentina 2 France 1
Fraser Wilson: I’ll stick with my pre-tournament prediction of France although if Messi decides to give it a superhuman effort then good luck Les Bleus. A cracker of a match in store. May the best team win.
Michael Gannon: Messi will get his moment. France are a superb side and they have been incredible when you consider the players they are missing. But they’ve rode their luck at times and some things are written in the stars.
