Can philanthropy save local journalism in the US?

Since 2005, the United States has lost nearly 2,900 newspapers and 43,000 journalists. Experts say the loss of local journalism has a profound impact on civic life and can lead to political polarisation. But a number of philanthropic efforts are trying to save struggling outlets. We speak to Sarabeth Berman, CEO of the American Journalism Project.
