Wimbledon may now be underway, with most tickets snapped up, however people can now register for next year's event or even bag last minute tickets to games this year.
Wimbledon remains one of the very few major sporting events where you can actually get tickets on the day of play. The Queue at The Championships is as much a part of the Wimbledon experience as the tennis itself, after all us Brits love a queue.
A usually large queue forms each day at SW19 with people wanting to buy either one of the limited Show Court tickets available, or a Grounds ticket. Tickets are sold on a best available, one per person queuing basis and are non-transferable.
The Wimbledon website says that when you arrive, you should proceed to the end of The Queue where you will be issued with a Queue Card. This card is dated and numbered to show your position in The Queue. Ticket sales will start at 9.45am in AELTC Wimbledon Park, with the Grounds opening at 10am.
It must then be retained until you reach the Ticket Sales structure and have purchased a Championships’ ticket. The Queue usually starts the evening before and increases very early in the morning. More information on the queueing system can be found here and you can find out ticket prices here.
If you want to secure big game tickets for next year then you can now declare your interest. The tournament will take place from July 1-14 next year and The Wimbledon Public Ballot will return for 2024, with entry opening in September 2023.
