The Boston Celtics secured a 117-107 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this week with strong performances from both the starters and the bench players. Al Horford, who started in place of injured Kristaps Porzingis, played a major role in the team’s second-half surge.
Jayson Tatum once again hit crucial shots late in the game, and Jrue Holiday impressed with his defensive skills and all-around contributions, including rebounding. The bench, led by Dalano Banton’s defense, made significant impacts on the game. The Celtics’ ability to rely on players who haven’t seen much playing time shows the strength and depth of their roster, with Svi Mykhaliuk even making an appearance.
The strong start to the season bodes well for the team’s aspirations, but can Mykhailiuk and Banton carve out a regular role?
The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast weighed in on that question on a recent episode; check it out above!
