Camilla will be 'hurt' by Prince Harry's 'wicked' book, Queen consort's pal claims

Prince Harry is said to have 'deeply hurt' King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, after claiming to have begged his father not to marry his stepmother.

The Duke of Sussex has made a series of bombshell claims in his debut memoir Spare, including accusations that Camilla leaked stories to the press and turned his bedroom into her dressing room.

A leaked extract from Harry's book, which is due to be released on Tuesday, says he claims meeting the Queen Consort for the first time was like awaiting an injection, with him once wondering if she would become his "wicked stepmother".

Now a close friend of Camilla has said there will be no way back for Prince Harry.

"Telling the world how he didn't want him to marry Camilla will have definitely crossed the line in the betrayal for his father and the other family members," Lizzie Cundy said in a new interview.

"She's the one woman who has been the total rock for his father, gotten him through so much, stood by his side and has never not served our country beautifully and knows the meaning of duty."

"Harry knows this will hurt his father the most and yet he's gone and spoken about Camilla, it's wicked and it's cruel, it'll be most hurtful," Lizzie told Daily Star.

Camilla's pal said the Royal Family are "still in grief" following the deaths of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, with the release of Harry's book now seen as "the biggest betrayal".

She added that Harry has broken his father's heart and said he will "regret talking about Camilla".

Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace have so-far declined to comment on the leaked claims from Harry’s book, which emerged five days before the explosive tell-all autobiography is due to be published.

Spare explores Harry's very public childhood, the death of mum Princess Diana and his teenage struggles with drugs and sex.

In the book, he also claims to have been involved in a physical confrontation with brother Prince William and says how King Charles pleased with them not to make his final years 'a misery'.
