Camilla's special Coronation plan for grandchildren as Archie and Lilibet 'not invited'

The Queen Consort's grandchildren are expected to attend their grandmother and step-Grandfather's Coronation, as reports suggest that Archie and Lilibet have not been invited.

It is understood that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children will not be attending the grand event, but Camilla's grandchildren will have an official role, reports suggest.

Palace Officials consider the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children too young to attend the ceremony with Prince Archie turning four on the day, and Princess Lilibet is only one. Sources also say that The Prince and Princess of Wales are still "pondering" whether to take lively Prince Louis, who turns five next month.

As the Mirror reports, Camilla's son Tom Parker Bowles has two children, 15 and 13, and her daughter Laura Lopes has 13-year-old twins. The King's wife is hoping that they would carry the canopy that is placed over her as she is annointed.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, a Buckingham Palace source said it would be 'wholly improper' for discussions over roles for the Queen Consort's grandchildren but not her husband's. Meanwhile, when they were asked if Archie and Lilibet were invited, one royal source simply noted that they were "very young".

Although Louis' attendance is in doubt, nine-year-old Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who turns eight just days before the coronation, are expected to attend the ceremony crowning King Charles III.

Harry and Meghan are yet to confirm if they'll attend the event and are understood to be weighing up the logistics. However, if they do attend it is unlikely they will take part in the official balcony appearance as only working royals take part in that.

Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in early 2020 and moved to the USA. They have since made a series of bombshell claims about royal life and accusations against the royals in interviews and TV shows, deepening the rift between the pair and Harry's family.
