Camilla Cabello has simultaneously taken a cheeky dig at Katy Perry and promoted her upcoming tour in one juicy TikTok video.
Taking to the social media platform, Cabello made light-hearted fun of Perry’s all-female Blue Origin space flight in which she spent 11 minutes in space.
The flight only had four minutes of zero gravity weightlessness, and during that time, Perry revealed a butterfly-shaped piece of cardboard with the setlist of her upcoming Lifetimes Tour. Sadly for the “I Kissed A Girl” singer, the resolution of the worldwide livestream was so low that no one watching could really see what the cardboard said.
In a silly little TikTok, Cabello can be seen holding up a list of tour dates and moving from side to side à la the intergalactic pop star for her upcoming Yours, C Tour.
“Didn’t have the budget to fly to space to promote my tour dates so I made this TikTok instead,” the “Senõrita” singer wrote, with Perry’s “E.T.” playing over the top.
She captioned the video with “hehehe ily” and tagged Perry. You can check out the cheeky vid below.
Perry has found herself as the butt of a few jokes since joining the Blue Origin space flight on April 14 alongside TV presenter Gayle King, journalist and Jeff Bezos‘s fiancé Lauren Sanchez, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist and activist Amanda Nguyen and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn.
The flight garnered significant criticism for the public for its huge environmental impact, the expensive price tag of the 11-minute trip and the bogus feminist messaging of the entire spectacle. It was also slammed for being one big advertisement for Bezos’ company, Blue Origin, and the company’s space tourism offerings.
Although the space flight was a ~whole thing~ it did give us a bunch of memes so I guess we should all count our blessings.
