Cameroon vs Serbia lineups: Starting XIs, confirmed team news, injury latest for World Cup 2022 game today

Serbia are boosted by the fitness of Filip Kostic for today’s key World Cup clash with Cameroon.

The Juventus defender missed the opening loss to Brazil with a slight knock but has returned to training and offers an added attacking thrust down the left flank.

Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic continues up front as Serbia look to make their mark on Group G, with Kostic’s Juve team-mate Dusan Vlahovic, who has not been fully fit, still on the bench.

Despite impressing at times, the manner of Brazil’s late win would have been hugely disappointing to a group of Serbia players tipped as dark horses in some circles.

For Cameroon, Vincent Aboubakar starts on the bench once more and Swansea’s Olivier Ntcham is still injured.

While there are not many fresh worries on the fitness front, they will need to show a rapid-fire improvement following a rather meek loss at the hands of Switzerland.

The headline selection on Monday is the absence of first-choice goalkeeper Andre Onana, who reports suggest misses out due to disciplinary reasons.

Cameroon starting XI: Fai, Castelletto, N'Koulou, Tolo, Zambo, Kunde, Hongla, Mbeumo, Choupo-Moting, Toko Ekambi.

Subs: Ngapandouetnbu, Mbekeli, Wooh, Ondoua, Ngamaleu, Nkoudou, Nsame, Aboubakar, Bassogog, Gouet, Mbaizo, Ntcham, Ebosse, Marou
