Cameron Carter-Vickers once broke his gran's wrist playing football

Cameron Carter-Vickers reveals he once broke his gran's wrist in kickabout

CELTIC ace Cameron Carter-Vickers admitted he once accidentally broke his gran’s wrist in a back garden kickabout.

The Tottenham loanee is wanted on a permanent at Celtic Park due to the power and strength he displayed at the back.

Speaking in 2016, the defender revealed that his brutish playstyle is nothing new, and his poor gran found that out the hard way.

From an archived Spurs article, he shared the story of his wonder-strike that shattered his gran’s wrist.

He said: “When I was 10 or 11, I was playing with my nan in the back garden, she was in goal, I shot, she stuck her hand out to save it and she ended up breaking her wrist. We laugh about it now, though.

“I played a lot in the garden with my mum and nan when I was younger, but not just football – sometimes we’d be throwing a ball around and playing catch, sometimes a bit of basketball as well.

"We had a basketball hoop as well as a football net and we tried all kinds of sports, but we were just messing around really.”
