Cameras Caught Cowboys Player’s Dirty Move That Rightfully Led to Ejection in Closing Seconds of Blowout

Cowboys defensive tackle Neville Gallimore was ejected late in Sunday’s blowout win over the Giants after kicking Giants lineman Justin Pugh in the groin.

Gallimore kicked Pugh as the journeyman offensive lineman went to help up QB Tommy DeVito. It was a blatantly obvious dirty play, and referees quickly picked up on it, ejecting Gallimore from the game.

Gallimore seemed to be reacting to a quick shove by Pugh, but that shove had been in response to a low hit on DeVito. Umpire Ramon George could be seen telling Gallimore “no, you’re out” before the head referee officially announced Gallimore’s ejection.

Ouch.

There’s no place for plays like that in any sport. It was particularly brutal for Pugh, whose story of being signed off the couch to start on the offensive line for the Giants after injuries crippled their depth has been well-documented. Fans wanted severe punishment for Gallimore once they saw the footage.
