Cameras catch Bills players talking up Drake Maye in mic’d up video

Several Buffalo Bills players were impressed with New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye when the two teams met in Week 16.

Maye played well and helped keep the Patriots in the game against a potential Super Bowl contender. He threw for 261 yards, two touchdowns and an interception on the afternoon.

He also had a 90-plus passer rating for a third straight week. His play on the field has impressed several opponents throughout the season. Everyone from opposing coaches to opposing quarterbacks has praised the rookie.

This time, multiple Bills players, including linebacker Matt Milano, were caught on the sidelines discussing how good Maye was in a mic’d up video.

“Drake Maye’s nice with it,” Milano said. “He is nice with it.”

The real question heading into the offseason is whether the Patriots can surround Maye with the necessary help to win football games. They’ve hit on the quarterback position to the point that even their division rivals are talking Maye up.

The rest is up to the Patriots’ front office.
