Cambuslang Rangers co-boss Billy Campbell has paid tribute to his "exceptional" team after they beat Gartcairn 3-1 on Saturday to clinch the West of Scotland League Conference B title.
Records have toppled on regular occasions this season, but ultimately Rangers are nine points clear of their Airdrie visitors with a game in hand, having scored 105 goals for and conceded just 17 all season.
It's their first title in five years, which puts them into next season's Premier Division following the summer shake-up.
Saturday's win came courtesy of an Alan Reid double, with veteran striker John Gemmell notching his 100th goal at that level.
Campbell says he was pleased to have won the league in some style, rather than just going out for the point they needed to get the title over the line.
He said: "It feels brilliant to be champions. I've been explaining to the guys over the last couple of weeks that it's not as easy as everybody says it is, to 'just' go out and win a certain amount of points, so to actually get it over the line is brilliant.
"We had a wee bit of a blip last week at Renfrew when we went behind a couple of goals, but the boys showed great endeavour to get back in and get a draw, which was great.
"I was really keen that we went and got a win, and not just try and get a point.
"We made it clear that the strategy was the same, we didn't want them going out and doing anything different, to go out and play, and I thought they were exceptional.
"We came out the traps early doors and played well. It was a beautiful day and we had a right decent crowd, so I'm really pleased that we did it for everybody.
"I'm really chuffed with their efforts this season and nobody can argue that we didn't deserve it - look at the goals scored and the goals against, some of the games we've played, they've been outstanding, and I'm really pleased for everyone at the club.
"There are a few of the fans who have been going there for a long time, they spent a lot of time with us after it as well, so I'm really pleased and it's brilliant."
