Cam Taylor-Britt crowned Bengals’ most-improved player

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt, who was already looking for ways to organize offseason workouts with teammates, is one of the key pieces of the franchise’s future.

It’s a good thing, then, CTB made a second-year leap, to the point Pro Football Focus writer Zoltán Buday named him the team’s most-improved player:

Taylor-Britt, after playing due to injury in 2022, was a Day 1 starter in the Bengals’ secondary in 2023. He played well despite missing time with an injury himself, allowing just a 67.6 passer rating, which ranked ninth among 135 cornerbacks.

While effectively serving as the team’s No. 1 corner ahead of schedule with Chidobe Awuzie injured, CTB picked off four passes and had 11 pass breakups.

An enforcer against the run, too, the quick ascent should have Bengals fans confident that an issue that plauges many teams — finding a legit, boundary No. 1 corner — is addressed for the long-term with CTB.
