Cam Newton inspired by Netflix’s Woodstock ’99 documentary

Seeing as though Carolina Panthers great Cam Newton doesn’t have to currently endure the rigors of training camp, he’s got a bit of leisure time on his hands. And he’s used some of that time to catch up on the latest Netflix has to offer.

On Monday, the at-home quarterback gave us a look into his watch list—tweeting that he checked out “Trainwreck: Woodstock ’99.” The documentary, one of the viewing platform’s most popular shows at the moment, chronicles the infamous rage and riot-filled music festival held over two decades back.

So Newton, apparently, wants a piece of the action . . .

Perhaps willingly throwing yourself into a mosh pit isn’t the wisest thing to do—particularly for a free agent passer whose career has been compromised by a shoulder injury. But if Cam wants to rock out, who are we to say otherwise?

As per our suggestion, Bank of America Stadium will be hosting the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Sept. 1. And we’re sure the organization’s most popular player in its near 30-year history could pull a few strings and nab himself some seats.
