It’s almost inevitable that a fight is going to break out at some point when two teams hold joint practices together during camp. The Rams and Raiders made it about 90 minutes before the first fight of the day broke out between Cam Akers and Maxx Crosby.
According to those in attendance in Thousand Oaks, Crosby tried to strip the ball from Akers’ hands, which the Rams running back took exception to. Punches were thrown and Akers was kicked out of practice, heading into the Rams’ facility early before the day wrapped up.
Crosby sat out the rest of the team period of practice, so he was also given some time to cool off after tempers flared.
Check out updates from reporters at the Rams’ headquarters, which is where practice is being held.

Akers kicked out of practice
Akers got kicked out of practice, assumedly since he bumped Crosby first after he tried to knock the ball loose. Crosby is still on the sideline but was held out of the rest of the drill. https://t.co/SZlcKiw9oP

Both teams got involved to break it up
During 11-on-11, #Raiders DE Maxx Crosby chased down Cam Akers on a run play and tried to punch the ball loose. The play was basically dead, so Akers took offense and punches were thrown. Both sides got involved and it eventually got broken up.
