New Liverpool signing Calvin Ramsay has sent a heartfelt message to his former club Aberdeen after completing his move to Merseyside.
The 18-year-old signed a five-year contract with the Reds this week in a deal worth an initial £4m. A further £2.5m could be paid in add-ons, while Aberdeen could also benefit from a 17.5% sell-on clause.
The Scotland youth international made 39 appearances for Aberdeen in all competitions and he registered nine assists, scoring one goal in that time. He broke into the first team last year and his rapid rise caught the attention of Liverpool.

The youngster wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post: "I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Aberdeen FC over the years, The players, staff, fans and everyone behind the scenes it’s been an absolute pleasure to meet so many great people and be part of such a big club.
"It’s been a dream of mine to play for Aberdeen ever since I walked in the door at nine years old, it’s been an unbelievable journey and I can’t thank the coaches and everyone involved enough. I wish the club nothing but success In the coming years and hopefully we meet again one day, Thank you!"
It is understood Liverpool have no intention of loaning Ramsay out as he comes in to provide some much-needed back-up at right back behind Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Ramsay is Liverpool's third and expected to be their final addition of the summer. He joins Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez as newcomers ahead of the new season where they'll look to challenge on all fronts once again.
In his first interview with the club, Ramsay explained what supporters can expect to see from him. “Obviously I’m a right-back, pretty attacking. I like to attack. I’m okay defensively but my main attribute is attacking,” he said.
“I can put good crosses in. I like to get shots in, both feet, cutting inside or going down the line, linking up with my winger."
