CALVIN RAMSAY was made to be patient for his Liverpool debut following his summer move from Aberdeen.
Last night, the teenager finally made his first-team bow in a Reds shirt.
The 19-year-old has impressed Jurgen Klopp in training in recent months.
The Scottish right-back has been working hard to break into the first-team squad after joining from Aberdeen.
The Premier League side splashed out around £6.5million for the talented teen.
He was signed with a view to competing with Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.
Despite the Englishman's lack of form, he kept his position in Klopp's side.
However, with 87-minutes gone in Liverpool's win over Napoli last night, Ramsay entered the fray at Anfield. He was substituted on for Alexander-Arnold in a bid to shore up the backline with little time remaining.
Speaking on the big occasion, Ramsay said: "Obviously we knew it was going to be a tough game, we knew wat they were going to come here and do.
"But I'm just delighted to get three points. And to come on and make my debut in the Champions League is a special moment.
"To have my family here as well, it makes it even more special. I'm delighted."
While it may have only been a few minutes, Ramsay will now be looking to kick-on and gain more first-team minutes.
He played 39 times for Aberdeen before they sold him in June.
